Tanners Speaks

Life changing- the phrase that can come closest to describing the trip so far. It has been so crazy here. The city is just so energized, so alive compared to most places in America. The roads are so crazy, so different that many team members are actually afraid of it.
The thing that I love most about this trip has been the kids. The orphanage has been such a blessing. The best part about it is that while we are helping the kids, they are actually helping us too. The smiles, the laughter, and the constant love and appreciation they show is really inspiring. They have so little and yet they are so happy. It’s hard to grasp the concept, it really is.
Today is probably the biggest day of the trip so far… The first day of the concert. The band has been practicing all day, which honestly, is probably unnecessary, because they are definitely going to do a great job. The youth group band of the church we are at is actually going to perform first, which is great because they are amazing. We worshipped with them this morning, which was very cool to see. They praise God with so much passion. Its easy to see that something amazing is going to be done by God through them.
Keep the prayers coming- tonight is the night to we will really make a difference. Praise the Lord!

I am so thankful for all of the blogs and pictures that have allowed me to have a small sense of what you are all experiencing. I am so thankful that God has provided this opportunity for everyone involved. I pray that each person who has been a part of this week in India– those who are serving, those being served, and those who have helped at home with prayers and financial assistance– will have renewed energy and passion for sharing Jesus with the world. We can “Be the Change” in India and we can “Be the Change” at home too! Tanner, dad and I are so thankful that you are our son. We love you and can’t wait to hear all your amazing God stories when you get back home– after you sleep for a day or two! God’s peace and blessings and love!!

I have been praying for you everyday as you have been the hands and feet of Jesus. You are doing something that I have never been able to do by traveling to a third world country and loving on people that are different than us. You and your team inspire me. Maybe one day I will get to do what you have done this past week. I know you have given much but also in turn have received more than you ever thought possible. That is what God does!
